Waste management
Preservation of natural resources

Building construction and public works produce a significant amount of waste, through the incorporation of new waste materials and, on the other hand, the demolition products that result from the work.

The ABB Group in pursuing the principles of its environmental policy, including the prevention of pollution and conservation of natural resources, created a RCD Valuation Unit.

The Recovery Unit accepts the following waste, among others, included in your license (according to the identification arranged in the Decree 208/2004 of 3 March):

- Concrete (concrete and iron)

- Bituminous

- Concrete Mix, brick, tile, tiles and ceramics

- Land and stones / soil and stones (and fragments thereof)

- Mix of RCD

On the Valuation Unit, after the screening process, waste (inert materials) are converted to recycled aggregates.

Structures containing asbestos

Given the growing problem of asbestos and in particular and the legal requirements of Ordinance No. 40/2014 and Decree No. 266/2007, the company moved to an expertise sector in the removal of such structures. Currently ABB has specialized teams, endowed with specific training, adequate equipment, legal requirements and extensive experience in the preparation of such proceedings.
