Production of bituminous mixtures

ABB Pavement engineering took the first steps in 1998 with the purchase of a bituminous mixtures central production - type RM 160, Intrame discontinuous - located in Palmeira,Braga.

The main deliveries of bituminous mixtures are intended to streets, roads and industrial parks.

It was in 2002 that was given the big step towards ISO 9001 certification, where the organization APCER confirmed the accuracy patent in the design, development and pavement production.

In 2008, in compliance with the legal requirements, ABB implemented the CE marking of bituminous mixtures. Currently ABB has 4 paving teams, which perform construction works from North to South.

The production and application of bituminous mixtures are monitored daily by the central laboratory located in Palmeira - Braga, equipped with cutting-edge equipment.

The production control and verification of bituminous mixtures conformity is performed in order to comply with the defined in EN 13108-1: 2006 + EN 13108-1: 2006 / AC: 2008.
